When i've read from Sean's that Pink Sage is finally open in solaris, i was estatic.
I'm so deprived of breakfast since Melbourne that i felt unjustly NOT to pay a visit to this place.

OK.. here's the thing, i was send out for a wild goose chase for a good 40 minutes, b'cuz alas! Ms. Jazz was looking for Pink Sage at a complete wrong location!! Imagine wandering around SOLARIS up and down exploring every inch the rows of eateries (under the hot sun), and having to ask at least 5 people who havent heard of pink sage in solaris, BOY was i fury!

But i was a very determine lady (as ive never been!), finally i was told that SOLARIS DUTAMAS is actually a new development just down the road. *smack* As a developer, im ashamed that this info slip through my fingers.

Dont make the same mistake as i have!!

A charming modern cafe located on first floor with friendly ambience.
What stands out in the menu is the array of breakfast varieties that was served throughout the day. This has been what's missing in KL, i'm glad to have my breakfast fix up till 6pm.

Egg Benedict (RM12.50) comes with your choice of bread (ours was RYE), 2 poached eggs, smoked salmon and finally drizzle with fattening indulgence of hollandaise sauce.
I can only give this a 4/10 comparing with Melbourne's brekkie, but in KL- this would deserve a 6/10.
The hollandaise sauce lacks fragrant and creaminess so eminent to a good egg benedict.

Our Brunch Plate (RM32.50) can be a hearty portion between two- comes with generous 3 stack buttermilk pancake, mushroom omelette, smoked salmon and cheddar toast, sausages, and fruit salad.

The pancake was sufficiently light and spongy- drizzle with maple syrup and clotted cream.
We were given choice for sausage- chicken, beef, and lamb. We opted for the beef and lamb. It was a dissapointment. The lamb sausage was slightly sour and leave an odd aftertaste, while the beef sausage has been unmemorable.
Abby commented that all western mushroom omelette should only use button mushroom and NOT chinese shitake mushroom as Pink Sage has. It's absolutely unheard for.

And if these are not sufficient for your appetite, you have the choice of add-ons to choose from.

Decent illy coffee

Our dear BBM queen

I know i've given many negative comments, however im slightly bias. Overall the place has potential to be the breakfast joint in town that attracts people like me who loves casual atmosphere, decent coffee and food

Ratings:

Ambience: 7.5/10

yikes! yeah, everyone seems to get solaris mont kiara and solaris dutamas confused. i've heard a few other ppl also complain that the pink sage outlet here isn't living up to their expectations too ... hopefully, they'll get the kitchen sorted out and improve soon =)
